HOW WE STARTED

From a modest seed to a flourishing tree of accomplishment. The chronicle of our start.

Bhushan grew up in a small Indian village surrounded by lush green fields and orchards. From a young age, he was fascinated by the abundance of fruits and vegetables that his village had to offer. As he grew older, he realised the potential of local village’s produce, and the impact it could have on the world.

Bhushan and Nivedita decided to start their own business, an exporting company that would bring the finest, sustainably grown fresh fruits from the local villages to the rest of the world. They knew that by exporting local village’s fruits, they could help improve the livelihoods of the local farmers and their families.

Bhushan worked closely with the farmers, and used state-of-the-art packaging and preservation technology to ensure that the fruits reached the customers in the best condition. Nivedita made sure that the fruits were certified with global standards to ensure that they meet the customers’ expectations in terms of food safety and quality.

With hard work, dedication, and a passion for quality, their business began to flourish. Today, their company, Aaiwini® Fresh Produce, is a leading Indian exporter of sustainably grown fresh fruits. Bhushan and Nivedita are proud to have made a positive impact on the local community.

CEO & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Bhushan hails from a farmer family and holds a management degree in sales and marketing. His passion for horticulture, combined with his prior experience in building networks and communicating with people, led him to embark on a journey to bring the finest quality produce to customers around the world. Bhushan has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. His dedication and commitment to excellence have been the driving forces behind the success of the company. At Aaiwini, Bhushan takes care of sourcing, packhouse operations, and the supply chain.

Nivedita Govekar

CHIEF OPERATIVE OFFICER

As a biotechnology professional, Nivedita brings a wealth of expertise to effectively implement and maintain strict food safety standards. She is a result-driven sales and marketing professional with a proven track record of business development, building customer relationships. Nivedita is highly motivated, and skilled in delivering sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. As an MBA in finance, Nivedita is well-versed in financial management, and certified as a Food Safety Management Systems Lead Auditor for FSSC: 22000 V5 / ISO 22000:2018. At Aaiwini, Nivedita leads business development, marketing and finance.
